EXPERIENCE:
The beautiful game has been a part of my life since I can remember. I started coaching as an assistant when I was 16 for Delta Youth Soccer. I have been an assistant and/or head coach for a variety of teams that have competed in both recreation and competitive soccer. The last two years I was the head coach for the 2012 Blue Girls at ECRFC.
CREDENTIALS:
Completed 4 vs. 4, 7 vs. 7, and 11 vs. 11 US Soccer Grassroot courses.- Will complete my USSF National D Coaching License this Summer
- Teacher for the past 25 years in the Antioch Unified School DIstrict.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY:
Individual
Create a love and passion for the game. Foster self confidence both within the game and as an individual. Emphasize creativity on the ball, and discipline within the team structure.
Team
Both success and adversity are great learning tools and motivators. No one individual is responsible for a team’s success or struggles. Every player contributes to the overall performance of the TEAM. Involving the player in assessing game situations both during and after the game is important in their development.
COACHING STYLE:
Understanding that every player is unique and my coaching style needs to adapt and account for that. Open communication with both players and parents is important to team success. Detail oriented.
